About Us
In an increasingly fast-moving society like ours, we tend to move along with our day-to-day lives without giving sufficient attention to our feelings. Some are buried deep and some are never acknowledged. And as time flew by, feelings suppressed within us waiting to be released, could eventually impact our mental health and body.
Our Belief
We believe that being mindful of our feelings and not suppressing them is an important step towards a less stressful, more fulfilling and healthier life. As we venture to find ways to express our feelings, we founded freetofeel and developed PockeTees.
Developing PockeTees – First the concept, then the material
We wanted to allow people to express their feelings via pocket graphics, but not overload their wardrobe with tons of t-shirts. Hence, interchangeable pockets were born. We also wanted a functionality design element and found that in the zipper – the zipper direction allows the pocket to carry small items securely. And colourful zippers are selected to represent our colourful lives. Seeing the different zipper colour combinations just make us happier.
Living in a primarily warm and humid climate, we wanted to find the most comfortable t-shirt fabric to avoid ‘weather-angst’. We understood that white is best for reflecting heat, but whites tend to be too see-through. Also, we wanted to go for a natural and skin-friendly material such as Cotton as opposed to synthetic materials. Do you know that Cotton works better at avoiding that stinky/ sweaty stench than those dry-fit exercise clothes?
The whole development process took us a year and the product of our tireless trials and errors is our PockeTees! Our t-shirt fabric is of good quality (i.e. strong colour fastness, anti-shrinkage and anti-piling), soft and comfortable, but not too thin/see-through. Our pocket fabric complements the t-shirt fabric and is able to bring out the colour vibrancy of the graphics. And our zippers runs smooth and allows us to change our pocket graphics easily for countless times.
